Mert Acar (b. 1989, Ankara) is an artist and academic working with photography, video, and installation. His practice focuses on transitional landscapes situated at the intersection of nature and the built environment. He explores these spaces through concepts such as memory, transformation, temporality, and placelessness, often adopting a fictional approach. Objects, industrial structures, and architectural forms encountered within the landscapes he experiences through lens-based practices serve as both conceptual and structural anchors in his work.
