Özet:
Many features of free electron laser (FEL) based on the amplification of the short wavelength radiation with stimulated emission that is a result of the relativistic electron beam moving in magnetic field. In this study, firstly, the fundamental features of FEL were searched and then, classical mechanical gain is calculated by using the pendulum model. It was seen that classical gain was proportional with the derivative of the power spectrum of spontaneous emission. Then, the same calculations were obtained as quantum mechanical by using the first and second order perturbation theory. At the end of the study, it was seen that the classic and quantum mechanical calculations were consistent with each other and the principal that the FEL gain "the derivative of the power spectrum of spontaneous emission" weren't changed.
