In this article, the focus is on the examination of significant cultural disconnection issues that emerged among the children of Uyghur intellectuals. These individuals were born and raised in an ethnic Chinese cultural environment that was completely different from the Uyghur Turkish socio-cultural environment, and subsequently settled in Beijing for work after the CCP came to power in 1949. The examination of these issues is conducted in the context of socialisation theories, and their causes are analysed from a sociological perspective.
