Özet
Erich Fromm (1900-1980) was an optimistic social critic who operated with a human-centered approach. As an influential political activist and public intellectual, Fromm undoubtedly introduced groundbreaking ideas on public administration. Evaluating these ideas from the perspective of Turkish public administration could aid in addressing our fundamental issues with greater prudence and adopting a more humane and value-oriented approach. Building on this premise, this study aims to question the human foundations of "customer citizenship," which emerged under the influence of New Public Management, within the scope of Fromm’s concept of the "capitalist human".
