Özet

This article includes one of the living poets of Diyarbakir, Dost Meryem's life, her literal personality and samples of her poems. The information about her life and compilations of her poems were obtained in the meeting with the poet. In addition to this, her ongoing relationship with the limited number of Turkmen Alawi people was confirmed. The poet is maintaining devotion and minstrel customs in these Turkmen Alawi villages and these features of her are briefly mentioned in the article. In the process of writing poems, Dost Meryem was impressed by her father and the Alawi Bektashi custom and she reflects devotion custom and the features of modern folk poetry in her poems. In this study, these two important cases were taken into consideration and the poet's art and her poems were analysed in the light of these cases.
