All rights reserved.Introduction: Communication is a process of creating and sharing ideas, information, views, facts, feelings, among the people to reach a common understanding. In the present study, the effect of communication competence on the alienation of individuals who play sports was examined. Material and methods: The research was conducted on the students who study sports and tourism in two different universities in Ankara, Turkey. The data obtained in the research were modeled with the partial least squares (PLS) approach and the structural equation modelling (SEM) and analyzed with SmartPLS software. Results: According to the results of the research, there is a statistically significant relation between the sub-dimensions of some communication skills and the sub-dimensions of alienation in sports. Conclusion: Communication competence has an effective role in remove of alienation in sports in all aspect. Results of this study suggested as a part of the social solutions that can be applied by sports managers in practice.
