Özet

This study aims to examine the significance attributed by early-career researchers to Erasmus exchange program mobilities, the motivations for such mobility, and the challenges and opportunities encountered by these researchers during their experiences. The study employed a semi-structured interview and included five early-career researchers. Consequently, results show that doing scientific activities overseas is considered incredibly beneficial to researchers. The early-career researchers reported that they became more familiar with how scientific research is supposed to be conducted and developed an epistemological perspective on the development of expertise in research. This study demonstrates that international early-career researchers become more aware of the options available when they are helped with this knowledge. The outcomes of this study reveal that mobility experiences overseas influenced the respondent's career paths, academic viewpoints, and academic cultures.
