While the young people are looking for a better future, a good career and a high wage on one hand; they have to confront the reality of doors which are closing to their faces and unanswered job applications in the labor market on the other. For today's youth, the path to adulthood exposes a very long and complex structure even in the beginning. In this study, the findings obtained from the field survey conducted within the scope of Sur Employment and Vocational Training Project carried out by MEKSA in Sur, Diyarbakir analyzed by taking the theoretical background of young people's disadvantaged situation in labor market into account. Findings show that young people who participate in the survey have low educational levels, are living in households with low incomes, face high unemployment rates in the labor market, are employed in informal sectors and unsecured, temporary jobs with low wage levels.
