After the European enlightenment, the imperialmotivation of the search for raw materials and marketsenabled the orientalistactivities towards the East and Islamic nations, and sought to displace and reshape the historical, religious and traditionalelements that constituted the culturalfunction of the Eastern and Islamic unity. In this essay, whichwillexamine the influence of this phenomenon on the Tanzimat intellectuals, we willexamine the perceptions of the Western anarchists on the Islamic civilization and history, and the counterparts of the Ottomanintellectuals who object to theseperceptions.
