© 2019. All Rights Reserved.Getting to know and studying the literature of a society is a great way to learn the life style, customs, traditions and the moral and spiritual values of a society. Literary texts which are subjects of translation studies have high artistic value and strong narration as they are products of fiction and use artistic language. Although Turkic aristocrats started translating literary texts of each other’s literatures before the 1990s, with the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991, this became the concern of wider literary circles. During this period which is about a quarter of a century, literary works which narrate the ideas, feelings, imagination and the lifestyles of the societies that speak Turkic languages continue to be transferred at present. The aim of this article is to study the works of literary text translations from Turkish to the Uzbek language, and from the Uzbek language to Turkish, as well as giving information on the number of these texts transferred from both dialects. In addition to the information on the works of art translated to the mentioned dialects, evaluations have been made on the literary tendencies of the writers of these texts. In addition, suggestions and evaluations have been made for the principles to be used in future translations and the choice of writers and literary texts based on the texts already translated.
