Özet

Until recently, the genus Campylium was represented in Turkey by four species: C. calcareum Crundw. & Nyh., C. chrysophyllum (Brid.) J. Lange, C. stellatum (Hedw.) C. Jens. var. protensum (Brid.) Bryhn ex Grout (Çetin 1988) and C. sommerfeltii (Meyr.) J. Lange (Walther 1967). During a trip to the middle Black Sea area, ca 40 km south of the Ayancik District (Sinop), we found a fifth species of the genus District (Sinop), we found a fifth species of the genus, C. polygamum (B., S. & G.) J. Lange & C. Jens.
