Abstract

"Cult" is one of the important concepts of contemporary science and art world, especially in mythology and the study of theology. It is necessary to know the cult culture and its scope of any society to understand the root and nature of its culture, belief, and mythology because mythologies, beliefs, and cultures have mostly been evolved and shaped around the cults. The effects of cults that came into existence in the mystic ages continue on today's individuals and cultures. This paper examines the concept of cult - the cornerstone of mythic, religion, and culture - within the context of the mythology and belief of Turks. The concept of the "word cult" is assessed by placing the shamanic Turk mythology in the center, and comparisons with other mythologies, cultures and belief have been done when needed.
