This article re-evaluates the information on the Dediǧi Sultan Legend provided by studies published in different periods. The first holistic source of information about Dediǧi Sultan is its legend. The article examined Dediǧi Sultan and its legend in the place of Beykonak near the town of Mahmuthisar in Ilgin district of Konya, where there is a tomb. Based on an evaluation of the relevant literature and Bektashi sources, the article also includes common issues regarding Dediǧi Sultan Legend. Also, it discusses the relationship between the Dediǧi Sultan dervish lodges affiliated with the Turgutlu and Bayburtlu tribes on the one hand, and the Sufi circles living during the time of Dediǧi Sultan. After migration of Turks to Anatolia, Konya and its environment become settlements and places of residence for the Alevi and Bektashi communities and their lodges. Data are provided on the Turkish communities, formed around Konya before and after the Mongol invasions, and a subject on which the research literature on Alevism almost does not provide any information, i.e. the transition from Karaman principality to Ottoman domination in the post-Mongol period. It concludes that Konya and the surrounding areas and its communities are important residential areas and hearths of the Alevi Bektashi's Ocaqs.
