Özet

Crown is an important clothing and symbol in Bektashism. Crown is worn with a custom and function and contain spiritul meanings. Wearing crown was one of than the seven "farz", necessary in Bektashism. In this respect, the crown was worn in a private ceremony. To wear a crown, one should have saved himself of bad habits, and should have reached certain maturity. There were several types of crowns as Elifî crown, Edhemî crown, Şemsî crown and Hüseynî crown in Bektashism. These are consisted of various aspects such as shape two, four, five, seven and twelve slices. But that is not the only difference among them. Each one has spesific meanings expressed in terms of historical processes and separated from each other. Elif̂ crown was two-slice and it was worn by Haci Bektas Veli. "Wearing four-slice crown meant that there is no power than God." represented the Twelve Imams. Furthermore, it symbolized the twelve to get rid of bad behavior. In this study, the concept crown in Bektashism is dealing, throughout history several crowns use of Bektashi dervishes tried to determine.
