Özet
This study aimed to examine the impact of student presence in the video recording environment on instructors’ teaching practices. The study was conducted with three instructors who participated in online undergraduate courses. A total of 24 instructional videos were recorded, half of which included students in the recording environment. The instructors’ lectures were analyzed across three key segments of each video: the introduction, main activities, and summary. Comparisons revealed noticeable differences in teaching practices between the two conditions. Specifically, videos recorded with students showed improvements in areas such as initiating the lesson effectively, using attention-grabbing strategies, providing relevant examples, delivering content clearly, and summarizing key points. Overall, the findings indicated that the presence of students contributed to more dynamic and effective teaching performances.
