However, Britain, which is active in Ottoman territory for the same reasons, is confronted by France and Russia. During the course of the First World War, the German Empire wanted to utilize the authority of the Caliphate of the Ottoman Sultan on the Muslims of the world in favor of his own interests. For that purpose, one of the biggest propaganda activities in the history of the world is conducted. Max Freiherr von Oppenheim is the originator of these propaganda activities. Oppenheim not only organizes the Ottoman-German rapprochement but also carries out propaganda through the Eastern News Agency for the uprising of Muslims in the British, Russian and French colonies. Even today, so as to understand clarify Panislamism and Panturkism, which are among the concepts associated with Turkish foreign policy, a detailed analysis of Oppenheim and Eastern News Agency is required.
