This study aims to examine the limitations and opportunities for Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) given in hospitals in the United States of America and claiming to appeal to all religions, from a Muslim perspective. The supervisors providing the training, the students receiving the training, and the patients in treatment in hospitals are from different religious and ethnic backgrounds. Clinical Pastoral Education given in hospitals aims to serve all religious or ethnic differences, not to make any discrimination in this regard, and to provide pastoral counseling to patients of all religious backgrounds. In this study, we aim to question the opportunities and limitations of this pluralistic structure, both theologically and methodologically, and to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of CPE training from this point of view. However, the main thrust in this study is to examine the education provided on the basis of possible conflicts that a Muslim pastoral counselor has experienced/will experience while receiving these trainings and to demonstrate the need to create a neutral structure (or a structure where Christian influence is equal to that of other religions) by emphasizing the need to increase Muslim involvement and contribution in these trainings.
