Özet
This study aims to determine the perception of gender inequality among female employees in hotel establishments and to elucidate the mediating role of employee attrition in the impact of social alienation on female employees' exposure to societal inequality in hospitality businesses. The study is based on a quantitative research method, and data were collected from 487 female employees currently working in accommodation establishments in Istanbul. Structural equation modelling was employed for the analysis. It was found that the mediating role of employee attrition plays a significant part in the effect of societal inequality on social alienation. Another noteworthy result of the study is the understanding that female employees in hotel establishments experience employee attrition and social alienation due to their exposure to societal inequality. The study concludes with recommendations directed towards relevant institutions and individuals.
