Özet
The article examines contemporary Uyghur society and its characteristics, followed by an analysis of the cultural disconnects that have become increasingly evident in post-1980 generations due to the effects of religious, educational, and cultural policies implemented over the past 20 years. The group of 'Hantilliq/Chinese-speaking Uyghurs' is examined in depth, given the steady increase in numbers within Uyghur society.
