Prof. SELÇUK ÖZTÜRK

He was born in 1985. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education, he started to study in Uludağ University Music Education Department in 2003. During his education, he played clarinet with Bursa Symphony Orchestra Artist Aylin Ensoy. When he was student, he worked in Bursa Yıldırım Municipality Turkish Folk Music Choir. He was graduated in 2007. He completed his military service in the Ankara Harmony Band Commandership. During the academic year of 2009-2010, he started to work as instructor in Trakya University, Music Teaching Department. He started his master education under the supervision of Prof. Atilla Sağlam in Trakya University and completed under the supervision of Assistant Professor Özgür Sadık Karataş in Atatürk University, Institute of Social Sciences, Musicology Department, in 2010. And then, he started his doctorate education in Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts, Turkish Music Department, in 2012 and completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gülçin Yahya Kaçar, in 2016. Between the years of 2010-2012, he worked as research assistant in Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Music Teaching Department. He has been continuing his studies as university teacher about Turkish Music Clarinet Education, Turkish Music Repertoire and History of Turkish Music in Gazi University, Turkish Music State Conservatoire since 2012. He’s married and has two children.
